You will be joining a fast-growing, well-established and highly regarded Law Firm as their Legal Cashier on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a sizable Cashiering team of 8 and a much larger wider finance team including 6 in Billing, you will report into the Cashiers Team Leader and work closely alongside the Senior Legal Cashiers. Based in their very modern and recently renovated City of London office 3 days a week (for the first 3 months), you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days. Once you have successfully passed your probation, you will have the opportunity to work fully remotely.
Role Responsibilities
- Posting client/office account receipts and payments
- Client to office transfers
- Processing CHAPS and BACS payments
- Posting counsel fees and other disbursements to the ledgers
- Posting/paying supplier invoices through the purchase ledger
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Posting credit card/expense claims
- Dealing with petty cash and any other ad-hoc duties as required
Role Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of previous experience working in a Law Firm as a Legal Cashier
- Strong knowledge of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules
- Excellent numeracy skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic attitude
- Experience using Legal Finance software such as Tikit Partner 4 Windows (P4W)
- Confidence with the use of Excel to an intermediate level

You will receive an annual salary of up to £40,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will be joining a growing Law Firm that can provide impressive future progression opportunities and you will be part of a very high-performing, close-knit and supportive team who will be there to assist with your transition into the business from day one. You will report directly into the Cashiers Team Leader who will be there to aid your learning and development, alongside the Senior Cashiers. You will have flexible hybrid working options and once you have passed your probation (3 months), you will be able to work fully remotely with only ad-hoc travel into the London office for meetings and socials. When you are based in their London office, you will be located in a brilliant area of the City, close to multiple transport links and top attractions. The office has recently been refurbished and comes with amazing views of London and free food for all employees.
