My client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial management across a range of central business functions within a large, complex organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial control, high-quality reporting, and effective planning across several critical areas of the business.
Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll provide financial oversight, challenge, and insight to support decision-making and drive performance. You’ll also lead elements of reporting and modelling, while contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading financial reporting, planning, and control across multiple central functions
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial planning processes
- Providing clear visibility of cost performance, including operational spend and investment activity
- Supporting senior stakeholders with financial insight and guidance to inform decision-making
- Ensuring robust balance sheet management and overall integrity of financial information
- Managing and developing a small team, alongside coordinating with wider finance colleagues
- Supporting financial modelling for business initiatives and investment cases
- Contributing to audit processes and ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards
- Driving improvements in financial processes, controls, and cost efficiency
