Senior Security Engineer (Cryptography & Platform Security)

If your idea of Security Engineering is sitting in review queues, approving pull requests, or filling out spreadsheets for auditors, this isn't the role for you.
They're a regulated payments fintech scaling towards banking‑licence territory and rebuilding Security Engineering around automation, platform thinking, and shared ownership. They're looking for a Senior Security Engineer who can help them scale security through engineering, not process.
You’ll work across:
- Payment Cryptography – HSM operations, key ceremonies, PCI PIN, payment key lifecycle management, DUKPT, TR‑31/34.
- Application Security at Scale – building automated AppSec capabilities, not manual review queues.
- Pipeline Security – policy‑as‑code, CI/CD controls, SAST tooling, compliance automation, and developer‑first security.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in Security Engineering
- Strong production Go experience (essential)
- Experience building and running security platforms/services
- Cloud security expertise, particularly AWS
- Hands‑on payment cryptography experience
- Strong AppSec background covering SAST, DAST, SCA and threat modelling
What This Isn’t
- Red‑team only
- GRC or audit focused
- Cloud‑KMS‑only cryptography experience
