- Review annual financial statements and half year financial statements.
- Post journals and supporting working papers where required, but mainly to review journals.
- Analyse actuals and explain underlying performance to stakeholders, including at SLT level.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Plant and Equipment.
- Review monthly margin and cash forecasts and a 5-year Business Plan for P&E.
- Review monthly management accounts, accruals, project margins for Plant and Equipment adhering to monthly deadlines.
- Review quarterly UK Financial Reporting Pack for the Global business which will ultimately feed into the parent company.
- Review quarterly IFRS 16 calculations.
- Prepare balance sheet, IFRS 16 and tax forecasts for 5-year Business Plan.
- Review monthly VAT workings.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Liaise with accounts payable to process invoices, purchase orders and payment runs.
- Liaise with external tax consultants on behalf of finance and project teams.
- Lead external and internal audits through to signing financial statements.
- Approve purchase orders for overheads.
- Review and submit corporation tax calculations.
- Own the R&D tax return process.
- Develop team while reviewing work and helping them progress.
