Overview:
Investigo is hiring a Market Abuse Surveillance Specialist. The position will play a crucial role in monitoring trades to ensure compliance with local regulations, overseeing trading books for any risk limit breaches across UK and EU and investigating potential market abuse. This position is the first surveillance position in the firm, it will also involve heavily in supporting the development of market abuse frameworks and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Rulebook, Participant Manual, Code of Market Conduct, and Market Abuse Regulations.
- Use automated alerts and complex tools to monitor transactions for market abuse.
- Escalate potential breaches promptly to the team.
- Conduct investigations of potential market abuse and recommend referrals to regulatory authorities.
- Support the ongoing development of market abuse frameworks.
- Mentor surveillance staff on procedures and best practices.
- Conduct inquiries with trading participants regarding anomalous activity.
- Maintain accurate records of market abuse reviews and investigations.
- Analyze and maintain surveillance alerts and review statistics.
