We are supporting a key client on a high profile project, needing interim support to help build Finance Systems around a new stream of revenue. This will be a long term contract with opportunity to add significant value. The project will focus on a new revenue stream, which will have its own systems application. The new application and proposition will need to be integrated with the current revenue system, which is archaic.
The individual will need to work across the project and the existing systems to understand requirements and what is/is not possible with the current revenue accounting. There will be some complex technical accounting requirements (IFRS15) that need to be interpreted and 'written into' the systems application for the proposition. You will work alongside a technical accounting specialist, but will need some knowledge and ideally from an accounting background, with a ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
This will not be a standard system implementation and there will no doubt be challenges, so the individual will need to show resilience and navigate differing requirements across the finance and projects team.
Key deliverables for this role:
- Review the Finance Impact Assessment completed by the Business Analysts, providing feedback and suggesting improvements, amendments, and additions.
- Review the End-to-End Life of a Transaction process flow and take ownership of it.
- Act as the Revenue Accounting representative for the systems application RFP.
- Act as the Revenue Accounting representative for systems application financial reporting requirements.
- Work with the project team to agree the testing and sign-off process for end-to-end life-of-transaction testing and reporting, including month-end processes.
Please apply and we will reach out with further details.
