You will be joining a fast-growing, global and very well-known Recruitment company as their Payroll Administrator on an initial 6 month fixed term contract basis. Part of a close-knit team of 6 in Payroll, you will report into the Payroll Team Leader and be supported by a high-performing and incredibly motivated wider finance team including the Credit Control and AP function. This role has become available due to a new Pay and Bill system being implemented over the last few months and there is a requirement for a contractor to come into the team and support with business-as-usual Payroll tasks. You will be based in their modern City of London office 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining few days.
Role Responsibilities
- Deal with email queries from candidates, consultants and clients.
- Process timesheets and adjustments.
- Prepare and send payroll reports to the umbrella companies.
- Check and export placements.
- Perform ad hoc tasks related to the position and provide cover on Fridays on a rota basis, primarily dealing with email queries.
- Work on internal projects to support the wider team and Payroll TL.
Role Requirements
- Ideally at least 6 months to 1 year of relevant Payroll/Finance Administration experience.
- Confident, collaborative, enthusiastic and proactive with an excellent work ethic. Recent graduates and school leavers with no experience will be considered if the attributes are demonstrated.
- Immediate availability or available to start at short notice (1-3 weeks).
- Intermediate level Excel; cooperative team player who can also work independently.
- Ability to understand and process information in a timely manner and demonstrate a strong desire to succeed.
In Return
You will receive an annual salary equivalent of up to £30,000 (depending on experience) + retention bonus + benefits. This package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. The role starts on an initial 6 month FTC basis, with potential for extension or permanent appointment due to the size and scale of the organisation. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive and friendly team to assist with onboarding from day one. Hybrid working options are available to promote a fair work-life balance. When based in the London office, you will be located in a great area of the City, close to multiple transport links and top attractions.
