We are supporting a PE-backed SaaS business with the appointment of an Interim Senior FP&A Lead / Finance Director to provide cover during a senior leadership maternity leave. This is a 6–7 month assignment, starting in late February or early March, with potential to extend to c.9 months. The role can be structured as a fixed-term contract or day-rate interim, depending on candidate preference. This is not a statutory Finance Director role. The emphasis is firmly on FP&A, commercial planning and performance management within a fast-growing, sponsor-backed environment.

The Role

  • Take ownership of the group's financial planning and forecasting agenda, operating as a senior number two to the CFO and working closely with the wider leadership team.
  • Lead the full reforecast and annual budgeting cycles, including scenario planning and consolidation across multiple product lines.
  • Own the production of budget and reforecast outputs for board and investor review.
  • Maintain a strong audit trail, version control and sign-off across all financial models and decks.
  • Act as a senior commercial partner to revenue, customer operations and go-to-market teams.
  • Review and challenge new product and investment business cases.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to an established FP&A resource.
  • Ensure continuity and quality across monthly performance processes.

The role is delivery-focused and requires someone able to grip quickly, operate with pace, and add judgement rather than simply process.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior FP&A or FP&A Director roles.
  • Background in PE-backed, SaaS or recurring-revenue businesses is essential.
  • Comfortable operating in scale-up environments with tight planning timelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial judgement.
  • Able to review, steer and consolidate complex financial outputs rather than build everything personally.
  • Immediately available or short notice preferred (2 weeks max).

Logistics:

  • Start: Mid Feb
  • Location: London, hybrid working (2–3 days in office)
  • Contract: FTC or day-rate interim

This is a high-impact interim role in a well-capitalised business with a strong finance platform already in place.
