A PE-backed technology business is seeking a Compliance Analyst to play a key role in building and establishing its internal compliance, controls, and audit framework from the ground up. This is a highly visible role within a growing international business, suited to someone who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment where processes, governance structures, and control frameworks are still being developed and embedded.
The position will work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Product, Finance, and Governance to help design, implement, and maintain a scalable internal controls and compliance environment across multiple jurisdictions. A strong background in Internal Audit and practical exposure to DORA is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Build and establish internal controls and compliance frameworks from scratch
- Define and implement control testing methodologies and testing cadence
- Conduct risk mapping across operational, technology, and regulatory processes
- Support internal and external audit readiness, walkthroughs, and remediation tracking
- Establish and maintain control registers, policies, and governance documentation
- Identify control gaps, regulatory risks, and process improvement opportunities
- Support vendor risk and third-party compliance reviews
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed governance and best practice controls
- Prior Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk, or Governance experience
- Strong experience building or improving internal control frameworks
- Practical exposure to DORA is essential
- Experience with control testing, risk mapping, and audit processes
- Background within financial services, fintech, SaaS, or regulated technology environments preferred
- Knowledge of GDPR, ISO27001, SOC controls, or EBA Guidelines advantageous
