Newly created role as Financial Analyst/Group Systems within an exciting high growth and tangible business with a Global footprint. This represents the perfect opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant with an interest in developing Systems and processes to join an established business on a fast track growth plan within a role you can make your own. High degree of Hybrid working.
The Group finance team has a wide remit, with responsibility for a number of critical business processes including internal and external reporting, provision of financial analysis and insights including oversight of the budgeting and forecasting cycles, maintaining proper systems of financial control and the ownership and development of key reporting and accounting systems.
The Finance Analyst will input into all critical business processes, with particular responsibility for the maintenance and development of our internal and external financial reporting systems; providing support and guidance to finance teams around the business in the use of these systems, and working alongside the Finance Manager in the development of a new financial reporting platform for the wider Group. The Finance Analyst will also support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including management information packs and analysis.
This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern Group finance function, and to gain experience in a broad range of finance and commercial activities. It is ideally suited to a finance professional with past experience in working with large and complex datasets and who has an interest in financial information systems.
Key Accountabilities- Finance information systems
- Management and maintenance of the reporting system, enabling seamless reporting of actual and budgeted results
- Provide assistance to IT in the maintenance of the general ledger system, including oversight of the migration of business units to the Group systems.
- Continued development of the reporting platform to meet the evolving needs of the business, including rolling out to new companies within the wider Group
- Financial Reporting & Budgeting
- Key contributor in the monthly management reporting process for the Group, including communication of timetables and deliverables, and provision of guidance to finance teams.
- Review results and commentary as provided by the individual divisions and challenge as necessary. Take ownership for the preparation of the consolidated management accounts and detailed supporting schedules submitted to the CFO and other members of the senior leadership team, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
