Overview
In this role you will design and optimize ETL and data-integration pipelines, supporting migration and transformation projects in large-scale environments. You will work with SAS Viya and other tooling to ensure data quality, governance, and performance while enabling CI/CD workflows. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and test teams to achieve production readiness in a regulated setting. The opportunity focuses on modernising data platforms with cloud-native and containerised architectures, delivering resilient data services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise ETL/data integration pipelines using SAS Data Integration, Pentaho, Talend or similar tools
- Lead data migration, transformation, validation and data quality activities in large-scale environments
- Tune performance and ensure data integrity, security and GDPR compliance
- Develop automated data workflows and integrate pipelines into CI/CD using Git, Jenkins and DevOps practices
- Implement monitoring, alerting and governance controls for data operations
- Collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts and test teams for migration, UAT and production readiness
- Support Agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration
Key requirements
- Active SC Clearance
- Strong experience with SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.x/4
- Experience designing and optimising ETL/data integration pipelines
- Data migration and data quality management in large-scale environments
- SQL and Python for data processing, scripting
- CI/CD workflows with Git and Jenkins, DevOps practices
- Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures
- Experience governance, data security, GDPR compliance and operational resilience
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in migration projects
