As an IT Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic procurement and commercial solutions for clients across various industries. Working within a boutique consultancy, you’ll provide expertise in IT procurement, helping clients achieve cost efficiencies, mitigate risks, and deliver value through their technology supply chain. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and enjoys working closely with clients to solve complex procurement challenges. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement: • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and understanding their IT procurement needs and challenges. • Deliver tailored procurement strategies and solutions that align with clients’ business goals. • Provide insight and guidance to C-suite and senior stakeholders on IT procurement, including contract management and risk mitigation. Procurement Strategy Development: • Develop and implement sourcing strategies across IT categories, including software, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, and IT services. • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT procurement space. • Lead competitive tendering processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to deliver cost savings and service improvements. Supplier & Contract Management: • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure value delivery and alignment with client objectives. • Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Identify opportunities for supplier innovation and partnership to enhance client outcomes. Project Management & Delivery: • Lead or support the delivery of procurement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive project outcomes and achieve client satisfaction. • Provide post-implementation support and guidance to ensure long-term success. Internal Contribution: • Contribute to the growth and development of the consultancy by supporting business development activities, such as creating proposals and participating in pitches. • Share knowledge and expertise to help build the firm’s intellectual property and enhance service offerings.
