My client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Inventory Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical to maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory transactions, update general ledger, analyse data, perform inventory audits, and produce regular reports.
- Develop and enhance inventory process controls and documentation.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and prepare adjusting entries.
- Assist with quality control operations and participate in inventory counts.
- Provide accounting support to multiple company locations.
- Participate in month-end closes and support the accounting team.
- Utilise accounting software to process and obtain data.
- Submit routine inventory control reports and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to implement a strong inventory control environment.
- Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
