We are working exclusively with a high-growth technology scale‑up based in Central London. With circa 80 employees and a trajectory expected to take the business through hyper‑growth scale in the next few years, the business is backed by serious ambition, moves fast and operates at the highest level. They are looking for a Head of FP&A to come in and own the finance function end‑to‑end during a critical period of growth. This is not a management role. It is a hands‑on, sleeves‑rolled‑up position for someone who thrives under pressure, delivers at pace and can hold their own in a room full of C‑suite executives every single day.

The role

You will be the commercial brain behind the numbers, working directly alongside the leadership team from day one.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive the annual budget cycle from the ground up
  • Lead monthly budget reviews and performance reporting, giving the C‑suite the insight they need to make fast, high‑stakes decisions
  • Build and maintain a 13‑week cash‑flow forecast that gives the business real visibility during a critical period of scaling
  • Architect the 3‑ and 5‑year business plan underpinning a multi‑billion pound growth story
  • Be a daily commercial finance partner to the C‑suite, translating numbers into sharp, actionable insight

The details

  • Location: London
  • Duration: 3 months initially, scope for 12
  • Rate: Up to £900/day - outside IR35
  • Start: Immediate – ideally week commencing 19 May
  • Notice period: Candidates must be available immediately – no notice period

What we are looking for

  • ACA qualified, Big‑4 or Top 10 trained – this is non‑negotiable
  • Early career background in transaction services, deal advisory or financial due diligence at a Big‑4 or Top 10 firm – the client wants someone who has been through the deals environment and understands what rigour looks like
  • Significant FP&A experience at a senior level following that foundation – you must know FP&A inside‑out and have owned the full suite end‑to‑end
  • Proven track record in high‑growth, scale‑up or PE‑backed environments – large corporate only backgrounds will not be considered
  • Exceptional communicator with gravitas – you will be in front of the C‑suite daily and need to command the room
  • Commercially sharp, switched on and prepared for long hours in a high‑expectation environment
  • Available immediately with no notice period – the business needs someone to start next week
