Initial contract 3 month with potential extension
I'm currently supporting a high-profile public sector organisation to recruit an Interim Finance Officer to join a small and collaborative finance team.
This is a hands-on role covering both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with responsibilities including:
- Managing supplier invoices, expenses and payment runs
- Raising and monitoring sales invoices and income collection
- Bank, balance sheet, AP and AR reconciliations
- Accruals, prepayments and month-end support
- Producing finance reports and performance data
- Supporting year-end activities and audit requests
- Acting as a key point of contact for finance queries across the organisation
I am keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience working within the public sector, not-for-profit or wider regulated environments
- Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems such as SAP or similar ERP platforms
- The ability to work independently while supporting a broader finance team
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
This role would suit an experienced Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant looking for their next interim opportunity within a respected public sector organisation.
