Senior Project Manager
(Fixed-Term Contract, 48 Months)
Salary: £52,977 - £63,815
Location: Hybrid, 2 days pw on site in Lodnon
We are supporting a large, complex Higher Education organisation delivering a significant transformation programme aimed at creating a more efficient, customer-focused and sustainable operating model. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic projects that will drive lasting organisational change.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Operating Model, you will be responsible for leading complex transformation initiatives, working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups to ensure successful delivery against programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of strategic transformation projects and operating model workstreams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource requirements and deliverables.
- Manage project governance, reporting, decision logs, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Monitor progress against milestones, proactively addressing challenges and changing priorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Facilitate workshops, consultations and cross-functional meetings to support decision-making and alignment.
- Coordinate activity across internal teams, senior leaders and external partners.
- Analyse operational performance, service data and stakeholder feedback to inform recommendations and improvements.
- Support the implementation and embedding of new processes, structures and ways of working.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards, tools and methodologies.
- Provide guidance and support to project team members and contributors.
The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering complex projects within large, multi-stakeholder environments. Experience in organisational design, service improvement, operating model transformation or business change programmes is highly desirable. Strong stakeholder management, governance, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
