I am partnering with a property company, to bring on an Accountant on a contract basis. Great role for a part-qualified/finalist ACCA, CIMA studier.

  • Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience
  • Location: City of London
  • Hybrid: 4 days in 1 from home
What you can expect?
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial ledgers for all entities.
  • Perform weekly cashbook postings and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Raise sales invoices, credit notes, and intercompany recharges before month/quarter-end.
  • Handle payments, cash transfers, and new bank account setups as needed.
  • Review balance sheet items such as debtors, creditors, and WIP balances monthly.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly management accounts and year-end reports, including journal postings.
  • Liaise with Asset Management to reflect leasing activities in financial reports.
  • Conduct actual vs. forecast analysis for cash postings.
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and explaining key processes.
  • Prepare VAT returns.
  • Manage internal cash transfers and arrange payments.
  • Champion system enhancements, test new processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with implementing internal control upgrades related to invoicing, expenses, and reporting.
Skills
  • ACCA/CIMA Part-qualified or finalist level.
  • Property experience desirable.
  • Experience dealing with large number of inter-related entities.
  • Strong Excel skills, including PIVOT tables, VLOOKUPs and other basic formulae to aid effective data manipulation and review.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player who will work collaboratively with different levels of stakeholders.
