Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team managing accounting, reporting, and reconciliation of business costs.
  • Promote cost control and improve visibility and analysis of key costs.
  • Oversee month-end processes, prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, and provide variance analysis.
  • Deliver monthly flash forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, and review budget holders.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and maintain strong balance sheet controls.
  • Manage IFRS16 compliance and act as the main contact for lease accounting.
  • Handle internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support ad hoc corporate or departmental projects.

Business Partnering:

  • Conduct monthly meetings with department heads to discuss results, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Area Managers and support Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs.

Business Improvements:

  • Drive efficiency and data-driven decision-making in the department.
  • Lead project delivery within deadlines, collaborating with relevant teams.

Team Management and Development:

  • Support, train, and coach the team of 3 Retail & Central Analysts.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals, set objectives, and establish development plans.
  • Lead by example to maintain high engagement and service standards.
