My client, a company working in the Aerospace industry, is currently searching for a FREELANCE FPGA Engineer to join their project working on design, testing and integration of FPGA code onto firmware & hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and detail necessary requirements for the firmware
  • Hands‑on design and documentation for the FPGA
  • Create test & integration plans for FPGA
  • Collaborate with PCB and Software engineers overseeing system integration
  • Ensuring firmware designs are compliant with internal protocols and processes

Requirements:

  • Experience with Xilinx or Lattice tools
  • Verification experience with VHDL or System Verilog/UVM
  • Experience with safety standards (eg. IEC 61508) would be a strong bonus
  • Experience with debugging and supporting verification/integration across SW & HW
  • Any experience with optical systems/image processing is a strong bonus

Duration: 12 MONTHS+
