We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant who brings energy, precision and a passion for improving how finance operates. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leadership
    • Lead and support a direct report, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and development is encouraged.
    • Promote high standards of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Intercompany & Corporate Accounting
    • Support corporate intercompany matters including transfer pricing and franchise fees.
    • Partner with the Group Tax team and intercompany accountant to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve intercompany processes.
  • Month-End Close
    • Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
    • Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal controls.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and strengthen reporting processes.
  • Audit & Year-End Reporting
    • Lead preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
    • Liaise with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely statutory audits.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Balance Sheet Control
    • Perform and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
    • Maintain clear documentation supporting audit and internal control requirements.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor developments in financial regulations and accounting standards.
    • Support improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
    • Assist with the transition to enhanced compliance and reporting standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Ensure all ONS submissions are completed accurately and on time.
    • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA Qualified
  • 1-3 years PQE - ideally with some industry experience
  • Experience in a senior accounting role within a corporate or audit environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (Oracle Fusion experience is advantageous).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
