Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Deliver reporting and analysis on stock loss, security costs and store performance
- Develop a strong understanding of drivers to support forecasting and identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor and analyse security-related spend (e.g. guarding, CCTV), balancing cost efficiency with operational needs
- Partner with finance leaders and operational stakeholders on commercial reviews and cost control
- Manage cost centres and budgets, ensuring spend is tracked and well controlled
- Produce regular reporting on store profitability, sales trends and performance metrics
- Support with ad-hoc analysis across sales, performance and wider business initiatives
About you
- Part-qualified (PQ) ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) and actively studying
- Experience within retail or FMCG environments
- Strong experience supporting month-end processes
- Confident working with large data sets and strong Excel skills
- Naturally curious and inquisitive, keen to understand the “why” behind the numbers
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and "own" the role
- Strong attention to detail, well organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
- Comfortable translating data into clear, actionable insights
