Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting
  • Deliver reporting and analysis on stock loss, security costs and store performance
  • Develop a strong understanding of drivers to support forecasting and identify improvement opportunities
  • Monitor and analyse security-related spend (e.g. guarding, CCTV), balancing cost efficiency with operational needs
  • Partner with finance leaders and operational stakeholders on commercial reviews and cost control
  • Manage cost centres and budgets, ensuring spend is tracked and well controlled
  • Produce regular reporting on store profitability, sales trends and performance metrics
  • Support with ad-hoc analysis across sales, performance and wider business initiatives

About you

  • Part-qualified (PQ) ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) and actively studying
  • Experience within retail or FMCG environments
  • Strong experience supporting month-end processes
  • Confident working with large data sets and strong Excel skills
  • Naturally curious and inquisitive, keen to understand the “why” behind the numbers
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and "own" the role
  • Strong attention to detail, well organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
  • Comfortable translating data into clear, actionable insights
