Cyber Security Consultant – Contract (Inside IR35) | South West (Hybrid)
We\’re working with a well-known organisation looking for aCyber Security Consultant to join for an initial 6-month contract (Inside IR35).
This is a hands-on, business-facing role where you’ll sit at the heart of security operations, risk, and assurance – working closely with SOC teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
• Reviewing and approving BAU security tickets via ITSM platforms
• Assessing supplier security questionnaires and managing 3rd party risk
• Leading and supporting security testing engagements and remediation activity
• Acting as a security SME across solution design and technical discussions
• Owning and leading security incidents, working closely with SOC teams
• Producing threat intelligence insights and reporting into senior leadership
What we’re looking for:
• Strong background in cyber / information security management or leadership roles
• Experience across incident response and working with SOC functions
• Proven exposure to third-party / supplier security risk and assurance
• Knowledge of security testing, vulnerabilities, and remediation processes
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making
• Comfortable operating across both technical and business environments
