Contract Quant Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quant Developer to join a front-office quantitative engineering team, working directly with trading, quant research, and risk. The role involves building and enhancing production-level pricing and risk systems across multiple asset classes, with a focus on high-performance development and quantitative modelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade C# / C++ pricing and risk platforms
• Design and integrate APIs and system components used by trading and risk teams
• Implement quantitative models and contribute to valuation architecture
• Work closely with stakeholders including traders, quants, risk, and technology
• Deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance real-time analytics tools

Core Requirements

• Strong programming background with C# or C++ (production code experience required)
• Proven experience in system design / API development
• Solid quantitative grounding: maths, modelling, pricing, risk
• Product exposure across Rates, FX, Inflation, Credit
• Ability to operate effectively in a trading floor setting
• Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Working Environment

• Office-based: 5 days per week
• High-velocity delivery culture
• Tight deadlines and rapid iteration cycles
• Team-oriented but requiring autonomy and self-drive
