IT Environment Manager required for an organisation progressing through exciting transformation based in Central Birmingham. This individual will be responsible for the governance, lifecycle management, and optimisation of all non-production and production adjacent environments across the organisation’s technology platforms.
Experience managing an existing IT environment for a large UK-wide organisation is essential to be successful in this role. You will be required to ensure that IT services across the business are appropriately governed, cost effective, and aligned to delivery and testing needs. The ideal candidate will have proven Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing a complete and accurate environment catalogue covering ownership, purpose, dependencies, and lifecycle state.
- Develop and govern environment provisioning plans.
- Utilise strong environmental governance experience, supporting safe progression of change into production.
- Support the Head of IT Operations to define / shape the monitoring required by third parties to ensure that the production environment operates optimally 24 x 7.
- Manage a clear visibility of environmental usage and health, as well as the creation, build, upgrade and support for all environments.
- Manage data refreshes, restores and migrations collating test data and assisting in the cleansing of production data when required.
- Experience of IT environment management including the provisioning of new environment requests and management of existing environments.
- Understanding of environment governance, lifecycle management, and cost control.
- In depth knowledge of Azure and enterprise SaaS platforms sufficient to support environment oversight.
- Ability to work effectively across Operations, Delivery, and Governance teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Excellent team working. Strong people and stakeholder management skills.
