I am currently seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliant cloud environment for a high-impact healthcare and life sciences project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant cloud infrastructure that will support clinical research and data management for a leading pharma business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement a secure, compliant Azure cloud environment aligned with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
  • Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies, encryption, and security controls to protect clinical data.
  • Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and security within the Azure environment.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, compliance, and clinical research teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies for critical clinical data.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits, compliance, and operational support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Storage, Networking, Security).
  • Experience implementing compliant environments within regulated industries (healthcare, pharma, or clinical research preferred).
  • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR.
