Accounts Payable Manager | Permanent | Hybrid | City of London | £55,000 About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP team. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of supplier payments and staff expenses, aligned with internal policies and strict deadlines. The successful candidate will be a confident team leader, committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead the Accounts Payable team, ensuring full training, development, and high performance. Oversee all day-to-day AP operations including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier query resolution. Ensure all payments are processed within 30 days of invoice receipt. Conduct regular performance appraisals and one-to-one meetings with team members. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate finance processes and deadlines. Drive improvements in systems and processes; support implementation of new tools (e.g., P2P systems). Provide accurate and timely reporting on team performance and KPIs. Ensure all processes are fully documented and compliant with internal controls. What We’re Looking For Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable team. Strong background in team development and performance management. Hands-on experience with P2P systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to stay organised, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities under pressure. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
