We're looking for a Finance Analyst to join a high-performing Retail Finance team, supporting key areas including shrinkage, store performance and cost control. This is a highly visible role where you'll take ownership of key processes, work closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, and play a key part in turning data into meaningful commercial insight.

Key responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of month-end processes relating to shrinkage, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Deliver reporting and analysis on stock loss, security costs and store performance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of shrinkage drivers to support forecasting and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyse security-related spend (e.g. guarding, CCTV), balancing cost efficiency with operational needs.
  • Partner with finance leaders and operational stakeholders on commercial reviews and cost control.
  • Manage cost centres and budgets, ensuring spend is tracked and well controlled.
  • Produce regular reporting on store profitability, sales trends and performance metrics.
  • Support with ad-hoc analysis across sales, performance and wider business initiatives.
About you:
  • Part-qualified (PQ) ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) and actively studying.
  • Experience within retail or FMCG environments.
  • Strong experience supporting month-end processes.
  • Confident working with large data sets and strong Excel skills.
  • Naturally curious and inquisitive, keen to understand the 'why' behind the numbers.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and 'own' the role.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organised and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Comfortable translating data into clear, actionable insights.
