A Nottinghamshire company is looking to appoint an interim Finance Manager for a 6 month commitment. The role will be managing the following key tasks:
- Leading the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, investigating any discrepancies in the accounts, providing commentary and variance analysis.
- Analyse and interpret Monthly Cost of Sales (COS) to Added Value (AV) and Gross Margin (GM) with comparisons to Budget/Forecast/Standard.
- Be able to interrogate stock bookings to understand the COS variances; both materials and labour.
- Run periodic stock takes and report variances.
- Ensure labour costs are accurate and reported on a timely basis and investigate how this aligns with standard labour.
- Month end duties.
- Reconcile VAT.
- Ad-hoc tasks.
This role will suit ideally a fully qualified finance professional who is used to working interim contracts. You MUST have experience of working for manufacturing companies so that you can demonstrate the ability to really hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment with no handovers. This role is being hired on a fixed term contract basis, is hybrid so 2-3 days on site each week with the rest remote and is to start ASAP.
