Our client, an exceptional brand in their field, is looking for an interim Financial Controller to join their finance team for a 6 to 9 month position. The role will work closely with the business units, focusing on supporting their activity and ensuring a strong controls environment, including control documentation and remediation plans.

Financial Controller responsibilities include:

  • Business unit reviews and analysis.
  • Monitoring and analysing the BU’s accounts to ensure activities are in line with accounting standards and the Group Finance Manual.
  • Acting as an advisor to the Group and Business Areas on technical accounting matters.
  • Production of technical accounting papers.
  • Setting up internal controls over financial reporting, which includes process mapping, risk identification, and effective control design.
  • Overseeing the embedding of the financial control reporting framework and supporting different business units to implement controls.
  • Undertaking periodic reviews of process documentation and BU risk and control assessments.

Previous experience of establishing financial control frameworks and improving existing control environments will also be essential for the position.
