The Role
As Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as a key business partner to operational leaders, providing insight, challenge, and support to drive performance and continuous improvement. You will:
- Develop and refine performance reporting, ensuring key operational and financial metrics are clearly defined, meaningful, and drive action
- Partner on transformation and improvement initiatives, evaluating financial impact and helping prioritise projects that deliver the greatest commercial benefit
- Support planning processes, contributing to budgeting and forecasting with a strong understanding of operational drivers
- Deliver clear, insight-led analysis to support decision-making across areas such as pricing, cost efficiency, and operational improvements
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business, providing both support and constructive challenge
- Champion robust financial governance and ensure initiatives are delivered within an appropriate control framework
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can operate effectively in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment. You will likely have:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, change-oriented business (retail, FMCG, logistics, or similar)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insight
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Experience supporting transformation, performance improvement, or operational finance
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
