Permanent position based in Gloucestershire - Hybrid working - 2-3 days a week onsite.

As the Lead Workflow Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the development standards, practices, and processes across the development life cycle for the Evari CloudStream platform, ensuring that designs are fit-for-purpose, align to architectural principles, and deliver business value.

You will act as the internal technical authority for the platform, supporting engagement from Solution Architects to validate technical design, feasibility, and implementation, provide support and mentorship to workflow engineers, and work closely with the supplier in the pursuit of platform maturity and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop appropriate technical design artefacts to support the strategic implementation of features, acting as the conduit between solution architecture and delivery team.
  • Provide technical consultancy for the Evari CloudStream platform, providing coaching and mentoring for workflow engineers.
  • Act as technical author for the creation of artefacts relating to the design, implementation, best practices, and operation of the platform.
  • Implement user stories according to specification to deliver business value aligned to best practices, standards, and non-functional requirements.
  • Support release, deployment, maintenance, and operation of the platform.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of development and design of low-code platforms, the software development life cycle, and test automation.
  • Experience with Evari Cloudstream, or experience in Mendix, Appian, or Pega.
  • Experience of technical authoring, developing and embedding technical standards, patterns, and practices.
  • Experience of APIs and other service integration techniques.
  • Experience of JavaScript/jQuery/CSS/HTML and UI design practices.
  • Experience of application development and testing of managing business workflows processes and data within Insurance and regulation.
  • Familiar with agile delivery practices.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to converse and translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
