InvestEngine is everything the modern investor should need. Unbeatable value, market-leading automation, and built for easy, long-term investing. We've built a strong foundation, have over £3 billion invested, award-winning service, and a passionate team — now we’re ready to scale.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Investment Analyst to join our Investments team. You’ll strengthen and scale InvestEngine's investment proposition — keeping our managed portfolios and DIY ETF universe robust, accurate and well-governed, improving the platform’s investing functionality, rigorously monitoring best execution, and communicating complex investment ideas clearly to clients, partners and the media. This role is ideal for someone who’s rigorous, detail-oriented and commercially curious, and who thrives on turning complex analysis into better investor outcomes. You’ll work closely with our Investments, Product, Marketing, Compliance and Operations teams, and with external ETF partners — with the autonomy to own solutions from end to end.

Responsibilities

  • Support and govern our managed portfolios: maintain models, produce monthly performance attribution and rebalancing inputs, and prepare the Investment Committee governance pack.
  • Own the accuracy and coverage of the DIY ETF universe, reviewing it quarterly and identifying improvements to structure, selection and data quality.
  • Provide analytical input into new products and platform enhancements, working with Product and commercial teams.
  • Monitor best execution: interpret spreads, liquidity and execution quality, and produce robust, documented monthly monitoring with clear process improvements.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for complex client investment queries, resolving them accurately and within SLA.
  • Distil complex investment topics into clear client-facing content, webinars and accurate media commentary, in partnership with Marketing.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate research, analysis and content workflows, with measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications Required Skills

  • Deep command of ETFs: structure, trading, liquidity, costs, index methodology and fund selection, with sound, well-evidenced universe and selection calls.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; fluent in Bloomberg and Excel, building and maintaining models, attribution, optimisation and risk analysis with minimal oversight.
  • Solid grasp of best execution and market structure; able to produce defensible monitoring and spot improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distil complex investment concepts into clear, client-ready materials.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, marketing, compliance, operations, CX and external ETF partners.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in fintech, asset management, brokerage or wealth platforms.
  • Up-to-date understanding of the UK regulatory environment, market structure and trading platforms.
  • Experience producing investment content, webinars or media commentary.
  • Track record of applying AI to research and analysis workflows.

Pay range and compensation package

Impact from day one. You’ll take on meaningful work from the start, tackling real challenges that improve investor outcomes and drive the growth of our business.

Equal Opportunity Statement

We’re a lean, fast-moving team that values clarity, ownership, and transparency. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, the responsibility to follow through, and the backing of a team that values clear thinking and open dialogue. We believe in solving problems at the root, not just treating the symptoms.
