About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Payments to join our Product team, reporting to the Head of Product, Backoffice. Your mission is to make moving money into and out of InvestEngine as seamless as possible, using technology and strong partnerships to deliver reliable, scalable payment experiences, automate processes and power our marketing promotions.
You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, customer experience, compliance and marketing, as well as our payment partners, and have the autonomy to own solutions from end to end.
What You’ll Do
- Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for our money-in and money-out payment rails and our promotions engine.
- Lead discovery and delivery of new payment functionality, from identifying opportunities through to launch and measurement.
- Identify and automate manual processes and customer journeys to improve efficiency, reliability and the customer experience.
- Work with engineering to deliver scalable integrations and manage dependencies across payments, trading and reconciliation.
- Own product relationships with our payment partners, including TrueLayer and GoCardless, aligning roadmaps, resolving issues and spotting opportunities to innovate.
- Own and develop the promotions engine that powers our marketing campaigns, working closely with Marketing.
- Work with Operations, Customer Experience and Compliance so journeys are practical, well controlled and deliver good customer outcomes.
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Balance innovation and speed with payment reliability, operational risk and regulatory requirements.
- Build business cases for investment, considering customer value, cost and operational impact.
- Monitor the payments market and identify opportunities to improve our proposition.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid product management experience, including ownership of complex payment products or journeys (e.g. Open Banking, Direct Debit, Faster Payments, payouts).
- A track record of delivering new payment functionality and integrating with third-party providers.
- Experience automating manual processes and customer journeys, with measurable improvements.
- Strong experience managing external partners, aligning priorities and influencing roadmaps.
- Ability to work closely with engineers on integrations and dependencies across multiple systems.
- Confident using data to prioritise, build business cases and measure outcomes.
- Sound judgement in balancing customer experience, commercial value, operational risk and control.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English fluency (C1 level and above).
Nice to Have
- Fintech or investing experience, particularly how payments connect to trading and reconciliation.
- Experience with promotions, incentives, rewards or referral platforms.
- Practical use of AI in your product work.

What We Offer
