About the Role
As a Head of Product(Pensions), you will lead, shape, and execute a compliant, scalable, and market-leading pensions strategy that enhances customer experience, meets regulatory expectations, and supports InvestEngine’s growth objectives.
You’ll own the roadmap across pension transfers, workplace pensions, consolidation, and retirement drawdown, working closely with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology, and external partners to deliver seamless, resilient, and future-proof pension solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Set the pensions roadmap so it supports business growth, regulatory permissions, operational resilience, and customer needs across transfers, consolidation, workplace pensions, and drawdown.
- Deliver proposition development end-to-end: take ideas from discovery through launch and ongoing optimisation across SIPP, workplace pension, and retirement journeys.
- Lead key initiatives including: Streamlining in- and out-bound transfers with automation and partner integrations; Designing and delivering a pensions consolidation service; Building a workplace pensions proposition aligned with likely future FCA permissions; Developing a retirement income/drawdown offering.
- Lead a cross-functional stream: bring Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and Marketing together to deliver pensions initiatives with clarity and alignment.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in pensions product development, transfers, or retirement services in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of UK pensions regulation (FCA, HMRC, TPR) and upcoming requirements (e.g. workplace, dashboard, consolidation).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects such as transfer integrations or regulatory change programmes.
- Strong judgement on priorities and trade-offs across customer, commercial, technical, and regulatory considerations.
- Confidence engaging with suppliers, trustees, and regulators, and shaping commercial arrangements.
- Comfortable working with engineers on integrations, scalable systems, and client-facing tools.
- Clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
