About Us

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our supportive Nursery team in Putney, London, SW15.

As a family-run nursery, we offer a friendly and supportive working environment where staff are valued as an important part of the nursery. The team works closely together to create a warm, positive atmosphere, with opportunities to develop professionally and contribute to the setting’s play-based and creative approach. Salary

Salary: £26,500 - £33,250pa / £12.94 - £16.24ph (Depending on qualifications/experience)

Days/Hours

Days/Hours: Full-time, shift patterns vary between 7:15am and 6:30pm, with a 1 hour lunch break and extra 15 minute additional break. Permanent Contract.

Week 1: 5 day week (43.35 hours) / Week 2: 4 day week (35 hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging indoor and outdoor activities based on children’s interests, ages and development.
  • Observe, assess and plan next steps in line with the EYFS.
  • Maintain accurate records and learning journeys for key children.
  • Provide high-quality care, including feeding, mealtimes, nappy changing and personal care.
  • Follow safeguarding, health, hygiene and safety procedures, reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers, sharing children’s progress and supporting settling‑in.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting the wider nursery team when required.

About You

  • Qualified Level 2 or above in Early Years/Childcare
  • Previous Nursery or Childcare Experience
  • Clear communication and the confidence to build professional relationships with families and colleagues.
  • Reliability, good judgement and a strong commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Warm, caring and nurturing in their approach.
  • Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge
  • Able to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Right to work in the UK.
