Are you an enthusiastic Financial Accountant ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic finance team? We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to ensure accurate and timely financial results while maintaining compliance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations within required deadlines.
2. Maintaining the integrity of ledgers and managing key accounting areas, including VAT returns and the Fixed Asset register.
3. Preparing annual financial statements and assisting with year-end audits.
4. Collaborating with the Finance Operations team and handling other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Core Skills and Knowledge:

1. Qualifications: CIMA or ACCA qualified, or newly qualified.
2. Market Knowledge: Awareness of the financial market landscape, including competitors and market drivers.
3. IT Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
4. Investec-Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with Investec’s procedures and compliance protocols.
5. Strong analytical skills: Ability to work quickly and accurately while solving problems effectively.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: Engagement with team members and stakeholders.
7. Experience: Background in a dynamic, fast-paced finance team.

Desirable Attributes:

1. Experience using JD Essbase.
2. Awareness of asset finance and financial services.
