Role Overview:
Join our dynamic and ambitious team at Investec, where you will play a pivotal role in growing our private companies banking proposition. This exciting opportunity focuses on identifying and converting clients seeking working capital solutions, while also facilitating introductions to other areas of the bank.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about solving client problems, building authentic relationships, and being part of a thriving and innovative business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Origination and Closing:
- Originate and close new business transactions in accordance with the ICS credit policy framework while collaborating with intermediaries across a defined geographical territory.
- Intermediary Engagement:
- Engage with existing intermediaries and identify new ones to generate new business inquiries.
- Representation:
- Represent Investec at external networking events to professionally promote our business and enhance our profile.
- Prospective Sales Qualification:
- Qualify prospective sales inquiries and arrange face-to-face meetings with prospects to assess suitability for ICS facilities.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyse key financial data to structure appropriate funding solutions while mitigating risks. Present analysis and recommendations to the underwriting authority for credit sanction.
- Relationship Building:
- Build strong relationships with prospects to convert them into new customers for ICS, in line with individual objectives.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates in the company CRM system.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with other areas of the bank to develop mutual opportunities and identify existing client relationships where working capital could assist.

Preferred Qualifications:

- A Bachelor\’s Degree in a Business or Sales discipline is preferred.
