We are building a differentiated Corporate Banking proposition in the UK, with transactional banking at the heart of our client offering. We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to define, prioritise and deliver technology outcomes for our mid-market corporate clients.
You will sit at the intersection of product, business, architecture and engineering, shaping priorities and enabling the delivery of transactional banking capabilities on the core banking platform. The role will integrate with other enterprise teams and platforms for payments processing, digital channel experiences, onboarding and client enablement. The Technical Product Owner will ensure the squad is focused on the right outcomes, with clear requirements, prioritised delivery, strong dependency management and measurable business value. This is an opportunity to influence how modern banking products are built and experienced, while using AI, automation and data-driven insight to improve delivery, quality and client journeys.
What will I be doing?
- Own, refine and prioritise the Transactional Banking technology backlog, translating business priorities into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Shape technology requirements across areas including business current accounts, payments and transfers, cash management, fees and charging, overdrafts, debit cards and client servicing journeys.
- Partner with product, Corporate Banking, operations, architecture and engineering teams to turn business needs into deliverable technology outcomes.
- Coordinate across core banking, payments, digital channels, onboarding, client enablement and servicing teams to create coherent end-to-end client journeys.
- Manage delivery dependencies, assumptions and risks, balancing client value, commercial priorities, operational readiness and technical constraints.
- Use AI-enabled approaches to strengthen requirements capture, backlog refinement, documentation, analysis, testing and delivery effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to modernise transactional banking through AI, automation and data-driven insight, informed by UK market, FinTech and platform trends.
- Play an active role in agile ceremonies and delivery governance, providing clear progress updates and ensuring solutions meet business, operational, risk, control and regulatory expectations.
What are we looking for?

- Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager or in an equivalent financial services role.
- A strong track record of translating business requirements into technology outcomes within agile delivery teams.
- Confidence working with engineers, architects and platform teams, supported by an understanding of API-based integration and platform architecture.
- The ability to make informed trade-offs between client value, delivery complexity, operational resilience and technical debt.
- A collaborative, commercially aware approach, with clear communication, strong stakeholder management and the ability to create clarity from ambiguity.
Desirable skills and experience
- Working knowledge of modern software delivery practices, cloud-based environments and DevOps ways of working.
- Practical understanding of how AI can improve product delivery, analysis, documentation, testing and engineering effectiveness.
