Verity Healthcare is looking for an organised, proactive, and compassionate Domiciliary Care Coordinator to join our growing team in Cumbria.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in domiciliary care who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating care services to ensure clients receive safe, high-quality, person-centred support in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage daily staff rotas using care scheduling systems.
  • Allocate care workers to service users based on individual needs, skills, and geographical location.
  • Respond quickly to staff absences and arrange emergency cover where required.
  • Liaise daily with service users, families, care workers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor care delivery to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Update care plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the Registered Care Manager with compliance and CQC requirements.
  • Carry out spot checks, supervisions, and field-based support when required.
  • Handle telephone enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure continuity of care for all service users.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a domiciliary care environment (essential).
  • Experience as a Care Coordinator or Scheduler is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills and experience using care management or rostering systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
  • Right to work in the UK.
