You will be responsible for fundamental equity analysis of companies across sectors & geographies as directed by the Invesco Asia and Emerging Markets team. As a senior member of the team, you will bring intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and commercial awareness—while contributing to a collaborative, high‐challenge investment culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundamental Research & Analysis
  • Conduct in‐depth quantitative and qualitative company analysis, including modelling, valuation, and assessment of issuer fundamentals across a range of industries
  • Build, maintain, and flex financial models to test investment scenarios and support decision‐making
  • Integrate qualitative insights—such as competitive positioning, value chains, and industry dynamics—into company valuations
  • Maintain a strong understanding of macro, political, economic, sector, and industry factors and incorporate these into research conclusions
  • Idea Generation & Investment Insight
    • Generate and develop new investment ideas aligned to the team’s philosophy and strategies
    • Identify and prioritise key research focus areas based on company context and portfolio needs
    • Assess forward‐looking risks and opportunities by distilling complex information into clear, fact‐based insights
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Present investment ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in written form
    • Lead company meetings, engaging effectively with senior management and drawing out material insights
    • Represent the investment team with clients and commercial partners, explaining performance, outlook, and portfolio contributions
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with company management, brokers, analysts, and industry contacts
  • Systems & Tools
    • Use investment and data platforms effectively, including Bloomberg, FactSet, research management systems, and Microsoft Office applications

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Significant experience in fundamental equity research, investment analysis, or a related buy‐side or sell‐side role
    • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and accounting skills
    • Proven ability to generate and articulate differentiated investment ideas
    • Confidence engaging with senior company management and external stakeholders
    • Intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and sound judgment
    • A collaborative mindset aligned with a high‐performance investment culture
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent. On a path to, or completed, additional qualifications that would allow you to undertake fiduciary duties in due course (i.e. IMC, CFA, etc.)

In addition to technical excellence, success in this role requires strong professional judgment and leadership behaviours:

    • Lead upwards by providing thoughtful, evidence‐based input that improves decisions and processes
    • Seek and provide constructive challenge, using debate to strengthen research and outcomes
    • Communicate with clarity and credibility, tailoring messages to different audiences and fostering open dialogue
    • Demonstrate independent thinking, resilience, and courage, constructively challenging the status quo when supported by evidence
    • Uphold the highest ethical, legal, regulatory, and fiduciary standards, contributing to a strong compliance culture
    • Promote innovation and continuous improvement, adapting to change and investing in ongoing development
    • Value and encourage diverse perspectives, creating an inclusive environment where different viewpoints are welcomed
    • Mentor and support other analysts, sharing knowledge and providing constructive feedback
