Your Role:
The ETF Capital Markets Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the primary and secondary market ecosystem for UCITS ETFs to ensure consistent, highâquality liquidity and efficient trading across a wide diversified range of exposures throughout all market conditions. Acting as the central link between portfolio management, authorised participants, market makers, exchanges, clients, and internal stakeholders, the role delivers execution expertise, liquidity oversight, and market intelligence. It involves advising on optimal trading strategies, analysing flows and investor behaviour, monitoring market structure and regulatory developments, and translating investment objectives into operationally efficient experience.
What you will be doing:
- Own the primary market ecosystem by coordinating creations/redemptions, managing new and existing AP relationships, and ensuring efficient ETF liquidity across all market conditions.
- Optimize secondaryâmarket quality through continuous monitoring of spreads, depth, and trading behaviour, working closely with market makers to maintain tight and orderly markets.
- Provide execution intelligence by advising clients on optimal trading strategies, liquidity windows, and execution modalities.
- Assist clients across all channels in achieving efficient execution when trading Invesco ETFs. Provide education and Pre Trade Analytics on ETF liquidity and effectively communicate specific trading strategies and associated costs.
- Serve as the technical ETF expert for internal teams and clients, explaining structure, liquidity mechanics, and market microstructure in a clear, commercially relevant way.
- Act as the bridge between portfolio management and the market, translating investment intent into operationally efficient ETF trading and liquidity outcomes.
- Build and leverage deep product and market expertise to position UCITS ETFs as flexible portfolio and trading solutions across multiple use cases, including ETFs versus other deltaâone exposures, securities finance (create to lend) and more advanced implementations such as structured products and optionsâbased strategies.
- Develop and maintain internal and external reports, scorecards and associated capital markets databases. Coordinate execution of key initiatives and projects within the ETF Capital Markets platform across functional groups.
- Write ETF focused market insight pieces and trading research for both internal and external audiences. Collect, analyse and extract meaningful ETF trading data in an effort to produce relevant content and drive inflows.
- Analyse ETF flow dynamics to interpret investor behaviour, identify liquidity drivers, and translate market activity into actionable insights for sales, PMs, and clients.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in the ETF industry or Front Office Buyside equivalent.
- Relationship building skills to build new and enhance existing relationships with the ETF broker dealer community.
- Understanding of financial markets, investment concepts and trading.
- Analytical skills to analyse and interpret various market data and apply such information to their day to day activities.
- Understanding of ETF structure and mechanics of creation & redemption. Ability to understand and articulate complex investment concepts and strategies.
- Organizational skills and detail orientation. Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way.
- Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment, drive forward key initiatives and manage workflow on simultaneous projects.
- Self-directed; must be comfortable with establishing objectives and then working independently to achieve them, seeking managers input as needed.
- Understanding of the ETF trading ecosystem including knowledge of key players and drivers of success in the ETF business.
- Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance, team environment.
- Bachelorâs degree or equivalent preferred.
- Problem solving skills necessary to identify trends and root issues and to recommend solutions that support the companyâs business objectives.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Some knowledge of SQL, Java, and VBA required to maintain databases and broader ETF Capital Markets platform.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg is a plus.
- Additional languages a plus.
- IMC Qualified a plus.
