The Investment20/20 Programme: We are proud to be a part of the Investment20/20 initiative, and we are delighted to be recruiting for a number of 12 month placements across the business. You’ll have the chance to play an active role and contribute to the success of the function, and with this you’ll gain industry knowledge and experience whilst developing relationships. The Junior Fixed Income Analyst will be a large contributor to the daily activities of a team managing fixed income Exchange Traded Funds in EMEA. The role will be deeply engaged with the daily portfolio management process and will contribute to projects that will support Invesco's Growth Engine Initiative within the Exchange Traded Funds & Indexed Strategies business.
You will be involved in:
- Assisting portfolio managers with daily tasks like markets analysis, performance and risk checks
- Preparing/updating marketing materials for client meetings including market commentary
- Analysing relative and fair value analysis of bonds in portfolio or new issues & corporate actions
- Enhancing the tools & processes to streamline the daily PM tasks
- Working with senior team members to update marketing materials like RFP, due diligence, product decks
- Collaborating with Trading, Operations, IT, Capital Markets and Product teams
- Great interest in investment management of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
- Analytical thinking, strong data analysis capabilities and well-structured working style
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong technical programming skills also beneficial (R, python, VBA)
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work closely in team environment with fellow portfolio managers and global teams
- Clear and concise communication skills to disseminate ideas to the broader team
