The Client Portfolio Manager (Investment Specialist) supports client engagement, investment communications, business development and the continued growth of the EMEA Asset Allocation franchise. The role acts as a bridge between portfolio management, distribution and clients, helping ensure the team’s multi-asset, model portfolio, portfolio solutions, custom model and bespoke investment capabilities are effectively represented across EMEA. Working closely with the Lead Portfolio Manager and broader EMEA Asset Allocation team, the role supports the communication of investment views, portfolio positioning and client outcomes across intermediary, wealth, private bank and institutional channels.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of the team’s investment philosophy, process, portfolio positioning and solutions capabilities.
- Representing and supporting the team’s multi-asset, model portfolio, portfolio solutions, custom model and bespoke investment capabilities across EMEA.
- Supporting the Lead Portfolio Manager and broader portfolio management team in strategic client engagements.
- Participating in client meetings, due diligence reviews, conferences, webinars and industry events across EMEA.
- Presenting investment views, portfolio positioning, portfolio outcomes and market insights to clients and prospects across intermediary, wealth, private bank and institutional channels.
- Creating and maintaining high-quality client-facing materials, including presentations, pitchbooks, market commentary, RFIs, RFPs, DDQs and bespoke client content.
- Acting as a key source of investment-related information for Distribution, Marketing, RFP and other client-facing teams.
- Supporting relationships across model portfolios, portfolio solutions, multi-asset funds, custom model portfolios, bespoke mandates and outcome-oriented investment solutions.
- Providing market intelligence, competitor insights and client feedback to help inform business priorities and client engagement activities.
- Representing the EMEA Asset Allocation team through client meetings, due diligence reviews, conferences and business development activity across the UK and EMEA, including regular travel as required.
What you can bring:
- Proven experience within asset management, wealth management or related financial services.
- Significant experience with multi-asset solutions, model portfolios, portfolio solutions or related outsourced investment propositions is essential.
- Experience gained within Investment Specialist / Client Portfolio Management, portfolio solutions, or a closely related client-facing investment role.
- Strong understanding of model portfolios, portfolio solutions and outsourced investment propositions across adviser, wealth management and institutional client channels.
- Experience engaging with advisers, wealth managers, platforms, private banks, consultants and sophisticated investors.
- Experience supporting custom mandates, portfolio solutions, model portfolio businesses or broader multi-asset capabilities across intermediary, wealth management and/or institutional client channels would be advantageous.
- Strong investment knowledge across asset allocation, portfolio construction concepts and multi-asset solutions.
- Deep understanding of model portfolios, portfolio solutions and broader multi-asset investment capabilities.
- Understanding of customised mandates, bespoke investment solutions, outcome-oriented solutions and alternative allocations.
- Knowledge of UK intermediary markets and broader EMEA wealth management and institutional distribution channels.
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong written skills, including presentations, RFPs, DDQs and technical investment content.
- Commercial awareness combined with strong investment credibility.
- Ability to influence through expertise, judgement and collaboration.

Location of role: Employees are expected to comply with the firm’s most current workplace model, which as of October 1, 2025, includes spending at least four full days each week working in the Henley-on-Thames office.
