Grounded retail. Bigger future. Dollarama Australia operates The Reject Shop store network, combining a practical retail culture with global retail standards. Inverell plays an important role in that transition. We are looking for a hands-on Retail Assistant Store Manager who leads from within the team. This is not a step-back leadership role. You will be in the work, working stock, executing process, supporting delivery, and setting standards by doing. You will work shoulder to shoulder with the Store Manager and team to drive performance and build capability. We value ownership, teamwork and doing things properly. If that reflects how you lead, we would like to hear from you.
The role: You will support the Store Manager to deliver practical retail excellence every day. That means you will:
- Lead from the floor, not the office
- Work stock and execute core processes alongside your team
- Maintain disciplined standards across presentation, stock flow and service
- Support sales, wage control and cost awareness
- Coach Team Members and build capability
- Hold standards consistently and support performance conversations
- Help guide the team through operational change as we strengthen capability
This is structured retail. Clear standards. Strong execution. Shared responsibility.
What you bring:
- Retail leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- A hands-on approach and pride in execution
- Confidence supporting performance and holding standards
- Strong organisation and operational discipline
- A team-first mindset
- The ambition to grow into a Store Manager role
You take ownership. You follow through. You get stuck in.
What you receive:
- Clear pathway toward Store Manager for leaders who lean in and deliver
- Predictable two-week roster with consistent hours
- Every second Saturday and no Sunday work
- Three consecutive days off each fortnight
- Above Award hourly rates including penalties and overtime
- 17.5 percent annual leave loading
- Team Member discount for you and your immediate family
- Paid parental leave
- Employee Assistance Program
- Access to earned wages through Humanforce Thrive
- Stability within a growing national retail business
Who we are: The Reject Shop at heart. Dollarama Australia for the future. We are a grounded retail employer built on ownership, teamwork and operational discipline, transitioning toward stronger retail capability and global standards.
