Qualified teachers must be registered with the GTCS and obtain a satisfactory PVG if working with children and protected adults. Teachers in their probationary year may apply for temporary, un‑promoted vacancies; they will be paid at the probationer rate of £31,584 per year (pro‑rate).
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The council is not a sponsorship license holder. Teachers working in Catholic schools must receive approval from the Roman Catholic Church under Section 21(A) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980.
