Are you ready for a new chapter in your career? At Inverarity Morton, we’re looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to grow our On-trade wine and spirits business across Newcastle and North of England. This is a hybrid role - developing our On-trade customer base across bars, restaurants, hotels and hospitality-led groups as well as managing our wholesale relationships in the North of England.
This is a field-based position, supported by our Head Office in Glasgow, and is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the trade, building long-term relationships and selling with credibility.

The Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing an on-trade customer base across the North East and managing Wholesale relationships across the North. Your role will include:
- Growing and developing relationships with bars, restaurants, hotels and hospitality groups
- Delivering volume and margin targets across our wine and spirits portfolio
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Working closely with our Commercial, Finance, Logistics and Marketing teams
- Acting as a knowledgeable and trusted ambassador for Inverarity Morton in the trade
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the realities of hospitality and enjoys selling face-to-face.
About You
You’ll already have:
- Proven experience in an on-trade sales role
- Strong wine and spirits knowledge (WSET qualifications desirable)
- The ability to manage your territory effectively, balancing new business and account development
- Confidence working autonomously, with the support of a collaborative internal team
- A full UK driving licence
