As a Process and Controls Analyst, you’ll play a key role in strengthening and evolving Greenergy’s governance framework, working with stakeholders across London, Manchester and other locations to map, test and enhance business processes that underpin a global operation. This is a hands‑on, detail‑focused role where curiosity and collaboration are key - you’ll partner with experts across various functional areas to build process models, identify opportunities for improvement, and support audits that drive real impact and ensure robust governance.

We’re looking for someone who’s inquisitive with strong analytical skills and attention to detail who can demonstrate a genuine interest in how processes and controls work and finding smarter ways to do them. Confident working with data and process models, you’ll bring a structured mindset and a collaborative approach - building relationships, influencing change, and helping to drive operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Governance: Own the development and maintenance of process models to drive the growing maturity of the Greenergy Internal Controls programme. Champion the building of a strong governance foundation to support the business with operations and identifying opportunities for process & controls improvement. Taking ownership for the modelling of processes for relevant parts of the business, and mapping risks and controls.
  • Internal Controls Performance: Deliver the ongoing certification of the internal controls programme. Monitor and report progress on remediation of deficiencies. Collaborate with the business experts to identify opportunities for improvement across the internal controls programme.
  • Internal Audit: Identify opportunities for improvement and delivering an internal audit programme that supports continuous improvement across Greenergy. Document and present findings back to senior management and provide updates through to resolution of finding. Contribute to the annual audit planning to align with shareholder strategy.
  • General: Role model the Greenergy values. Build a deep understanding of the business activities that underpin the internal control programme. Build relationships with key process experts across the business. Any other reasonable tasks as requested.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Essential: Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document and articulate complex processes using industry standard methodologies. Relevant accounting, internal audit, business process modelling qualifications or qualified by experience with a high degree of financial literacy. Knowledge and experience of process improvement and quality management methodologies and approaches. Exposure to and understanding of controls frameworks & control testing. Highly literate with strong MS Excel skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to present clear, well‑structured reports and briefs. Ability to work independently, effectively collaborating within and outside the team and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure successful task completion and delivery, taking full responsibility and ownership. A quick learner with an inquisitive mind, who takes a keen interest in understanding how things work. Curious and able to challenge the status quo in a non-confrontational manner. Governance mindset. Highly organised with strong documentation skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Desirable: Keen interest in IT general controls and cyber security risk management. Hands on experience of using business process management and analysis tools. Audit experience. Demonstrate relevant industry experience & knowledge of regulatory environments. Able to train, coach and mentor different stakeholder groups.
