We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Tanker Drivers to support our nationwide bitumen delivery operations from Thames Navigator. As the face of Greenergy, you will play a key role in delivering safely, professionally and reliably to our customers across the UK. This role involves regular nights out and working with specialist equipment in a safety‑critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Bitumen to customer sites nationwide.
- Loading and making deliveries in a safe and professional manner.
- Adhering to both legal and Company policies at all times and ensuring that all vehicle checks are completed, and defects are reported in a timely manner.
- The delivery of quality customer service whilst demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- To safely operate the vehicle and depot equipment as required, following Greenergy’s standard procedures at all times.
- To build effective relationships with internal colleagues across the business to ensure smooth operations.
- Accurate completion of all delivery paperwork.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK with LGV Cat C+E and a minimum of two years commercial Class 1 driving experience.
- Valid and up to date CPC and Digi Card.
- A good understanding of driver regulations and the Working Time Directive Skills and Digital Tacho Cards.
- Must be professional, flexible and self‑motivated.
- Basic IT knowledge is required as you will be operating in cab technology.
- Must hold a valid in date ADR Certificate with Class 9 (Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods).
- Experience in transportation of Dangerous Goods (ideally Bitumen).
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
