Join us as a Demand Planning Analyst (internally known as UK Fuels Demand Lead) and support the demand forecasting process across our fuels portfolio. Based in our London office, you’ll work closely with Commercial, Trading, Supply, Risk and Finance teams to help maintain accurate demand plans and support day-to-day operational decision-making. This role would suit someone with strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills and previous forecasting, supply chain or commercial planning experience who enjoys working with data and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demand planning & forecasting: Lead the end-to-end demand forecasting process across relevant markets and product categories (e.g., diesel, gasoline, renewable fuels). Develop and maintain rolling forecasts (short, medium, and long-term horizons). Analyse historical sales, seasonality, market trends, and commercial pipeline activity to improve forecast accuracy. Monitor forecast performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-functional alignment: Act as the interface between Optimisation, Commercial and Supply to ensure demand assumptions are aligned. Lead monthly demand review and volume forecast forums. Translate commercial insights into a structured, data-driven demand plan. Support commercial and supply teams with scenario modelling and demand analysis.
  • Process & systems improvement: Drive enhancements in forecasting methodologies, tools, and governance. Standardise demand planning processes across the group where possible. Contribute to digital transformation initiatives relating to planning and analytics.
  • Optimisation team role: Take part in all meetings related to Optimisation with Tamworth and Commercial. Provide cover for the Group Optimisation Analyst during periods of absence.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience in Supply chain analytics or commercial forecasting (ideally within fuels, commodities, or energy).
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
