As part of our continued growth we are seeking a Devices Test Engineer to join our established Testing team. The role is a critical part of the hardware and software test team, supporting Field testing, application and OS testing of Inventus Devices (smartphone and tablet). The role is a key part of maintaining the industry leading quality standards of the Inventus solutions ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices.
- Help manage the maintenance and improvement of software products by resolving faults raised by testers to developers.
- Frequent liaising across the Testing team to ensure smooth running of projects.
- Help the developer team identify reasons for failures by reading bug reports and other network logs.
- Provide stable software after release to customers as part of all projects.
- Design and implement new and/or improved test cases where required.
- Respond to requests from the software team for assistance with released software.
- Create and maintain manual test scripts.
- Identify new methodologies and tools that can improve quality and production in general and raise these for approval at senior management level.
- Understand the product and give QA estimates.
- Ensure that the software meets the product specifications and quality requirements.
- Make sure all issues are raised with proper priority.
- Stay up to date with all issues on ongoing projects and closed projects.
- Prepare and send out test results regularly on every software release.
- Manage error tracking to ensure the bug tracker is constantly up to date and correct priorities are assigned to blocking bugs.
- Constantly manage the priorities of projects/open issues and communicate with stakeholders to ensure blocking issues are fixed in time.
- Hold full responsibility for application testing and management.
Qualifications & Experience
- BS degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline and/or relevant industry experience in a similar test engineering role.
- Technical background and an understanding of the telecom industry.
- Knowledge and experience with different Operating Systems including Android and iOS.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools.
- Demonstrable understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G and related connectivity technologies.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.
- Must be flexible, self‑organised and self‑motivated.
- Willing to travel.

- Knowledge and experience with MDM, EMM and eSIM.
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry or similar regulated sectors.
- Understanding of global logistics and device provisioning.
